Here Are 7 Air Force Facts in Honor of the Branch's 70th Birthday

The U.S. Air Force turns 70 today, so we put together a quick video to celebrate the landmark occasion. Here are seven things you probably don’t know about the U.S. military’s youngest service branch.

The USO is opening a new location on March 9 on Marine Corps Base Quantico in Austin Hall, which was named after Medal of Honor recipient, Pvt. 1st Class Oscar P. Austin.

Thanks to donors like you, soldiers living on Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany can say "auf wiedersehen" to trekking 25 minutes to Grafenwoehr to enjoy free wi-fi and other recreational amenities, thanks to a new 24-hour facility opened by the 2d Cavalry Regiment, the USO and the American Red Cross.
