It was about 6 a.m. the morning of May 2 at Kandahar Airfield when news broke about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. The reaction at USO Kandahar was a bit different from the open jubilation on the streets of Washington, New York, and elsewhere in the United States.
Troops in Afghanistan remained vigilant—steadfast in their resolve to continue the mission at hand.
