Chad Hartman
Chad joined the USO as Vice President, Development in June 2015. He is responsible for leading the Major and Planned Gifts and Corporate Alliance teams. Prior to joining the USO, Chad worked at the Epilepsy Foundation of America (EFA) as the Vice President of Development/Chief Development Officer. In his role at EFA, Chad led all aspects of the development office, including aligning strategies between the national office and the 48 affiliates. One of Chad’s major accomplishments at EFA was creating and implementing a nationwide major gift program.
Prior to EFA, Chad worked at High Point University for 11 years where he held various development roles, both in institutional advancement and athletics. During his time in the institutional advancement office, Chad managed all University advisory boards and established the University’s giving society, the President’s Circle. While in the athletic department, Chad managed the Panther Club (the University’s Athletic Foundation), helped to secure funding for a $2.5m athletic facilities renovation, and increased corporate sponsorships to an all-time high.
A native of Bethlehem, PA, Chad has an MBA from High Point University and a BS in Sports Management, also from High Point University. Chad and his wife, Mindi, reside in Washington, DC with their rescue Golden Retriever mix, Campbell Harlyn. Chad and Mindi enjoy traveling, with a focus on exploring various wine regions around the world, exploring the history of WWII, and attending soccer matches.
